Santa Claus Parade of Lights set in Sturgeon Falls

Sturgeon Falls is likely to attract a large number of people to its downtown the night of December 7th.

That’s the date for the Santa Clause Parade of Lights which sees Santa descend on West Nipissing.

The parade means several street closures during the time the parade begins its run at 6:30pm.

The closures are as follows:

Clark Street will be closed between John and Queens Streets.

John Street will be closed between Clark and Michaud Streets.

Michaud Street will be closed between John and Ethel Streets.

Ethel Street will be closed between Michaud and King Streets.

King Street will be closed between Ethel and Queen Streets.

Queen Street will be closed between King and Clark Streets.

In addition, the municipality will close an extended part of King from Queen to Front in order to accommodate the Moonlight Madness event.

This closure immediately follows the parade and will last until 9:00pm.

As for Moonlight Madness, it features several festivities including a bonfire by the West Nipissing Firefighters, carollers, some groups providing interactive demonstrations plus there will also be fundraising activity.

Residents can also get warm drinks at several stations and the businesses are running many in-store specials and promotions.
