The north may be getting an early taste of winter with all the snow it’s received, but a recreation group has a warning for snowmobilers. The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs is telling sled owners to keep their snow machines parked a while longer. That’s because waterways and swamps aren’t frozen over yet. Also the snow base isn’t deep enough yet to protect you or your sled from protruding objects on the ground. On top of that, no snowmobile trails are open yet because grooming hasn’t started.
