A Cobalt woman has died as a result of injuries sustained when the car she was in slammed into a rock cut.
Seventy-five-year-old Muriel Champagne died in hospital following the crash around 10:30am Thursday.
OPP in Timiskaming say the vehicle lost control while on Highway 11-B near Cobalt when it hit the rock.
The driver, a 77-year-old man also from Cobalt, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
