Police have released more details about a fatal snowmobile collision on New Year’s Day near Sault Ste. Marie. The snowmobile operator was on the wrong side of a secondary highway when he came over a hill and hit on approaching motor vehicle. The fatal collision took place on Highway 556 also known as Ranger Lake Road during the day. Police say alcohol was not a factor and will not be laying charges. They’ve identified the dead man as 35-year-old Andrew Cameron of Sault Ste. Marie.
