OPP laid fewer impaired driving charges during their annual R.I.D.E. campaign. Over a 40 day period beginning November 23rd a total of 578 people were charged with impaired. That’s a drop of 17 percent from last year’s campaign. Also down significantly were the number of people who were given a warn range suspension. Last year the number was over 600 but this year 481 suspensions were handed out for a drop of 23 percent.
