West Nipissing residents can expect more timely announcements involving significant water level changes on the Sturgeon River.
The change is the result of concerned residents calling town hall when fluctuations are sudden and significant without notice.
Staff says from now on when the municipality knows of a planned event where levels will change, they will get the word out to residents.
Notification will be through the local media and social media.
But when fluctuations are the result of an unplanned event, the municipality will send a notice out as soon as possible.
