MNR cautioning drivers about wildlife…

One out of every 17 car crashes involves a wild animal. That’s why the Ministry of Natural Resources is reminding everyone to be cautious on Ontario’s roads this fall. Moose, elk, and deer are very active in the fall as they search for mates and food. Drivers should be extra careful where roads cross creeks, in wooded areas, and where wildlife crossing signs are posted. The MNR suggests beeping your horn in short bursts if you see an animal on the side of the road, and blinking your headlights.
