Highway 17 westbound lane reduction at east end entrance to Sturgeon Falls

A four week project by the Ministry of Transportation means a lane reduction on Highway 17 at the east entrance of Sturgeon Falls.

The highway will go down to one lane for westbound traffic from Coursol Road to about the No Frills.

That’s a distance of 0.4 kilometres.

The lane reduction is necessary so that the MTO can rehabilitate the roadway and add a sidewalk.

The highway is expected to reopen fully by September 24th and the project is not expected to impede eastbound traffic.
