It has come to the attention of Moose FM that necessary funding levelsĀ are critically low at our West Nipissing Food Bank.
With residents on vacation through the summer, donations are down and Food Bank chair Claudette LeRoy is asking local residents, businesses and organizations for monetary donations to ensure they can meet the demand. Money donated is used for the food bank’s rent as well as the purchase of fresh fruit, vegetables and frozen goods which are distributed on Food Bank days to locals in need.
A Food Bank representative will be in the studio at Moose FM next week to accept monetary donations and provide tax receipts to contributors. If you cannot make it in person, you can also call Claudette LeRoy at 705-594-2279.
