West Nipissing police have charged a 20-year-old woman with assault and assaulting police.
The charges were laid after a woman went to a man’s place of work and assaulted him a week ago Monday.
A call was made to 911 and police responded. Although the accused was gone by the time they arrived, police found the woman in her home later the same day.
During the arrest, the woman punched, scratched, kicked and bit the officer who tried to take her into custody. After some time the officer got control of the woman and she was jailed.
