Four people running for Mayor of West Nipissing

Four people are running for Mayor of West Nipissing.

They are incumbent Mayor Joanne Savage and she is being challenged by Ronald Demers, Russ Dunne and Donald Leblanc.

All eight Wards have councillor candidates with all the incumbents seeking re-election except for Guilles Tessier.

In Ward 1 incumbent Denise Brisson is being challenged by Serge Bourgouin and Lise Senecal.

Councillor Leo Mallette is looking at three challengers for his Ward 2 seat.

They are Steve Morrison, Christine Riberdy and Pierre Deforge.

Ward 3 is currently held by Yvon Duhaime and looking to replace him are Daniel Gagne and Pat Keough.

Councillor Jamie Restoule represents Ward 4 and he faces challenger Dan Roveda.

In Ward 5 is sure to have a new councillor.

Incumbent councillor Guilles Tessier is not seeking re-election.

The seat will go to either Denis Boisvenue or Christopher Fisher.

Ward 6 has a three man race between councillor Roland Larabie, Paul Finley and Christopher Anderson.

It’s a two man race in Ward 7 where incumbent Normand Roberge faces Jeremy Seguin.

Ward 8 has three people running.

Incumbent Guy Fortier is trying to keep his seat from Denis Senecal and Paulette Courchesne.
