West Nipissing’s first ever Butterfly release raised 83-hundred dollars.
The money will go to the Horizon Women’s Centre’s new Community Kitchen project.
The event was held in memory of Gaetan Serre, the father of Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre.
Gaetan Serre was also a former MP during his life.
The event saw 300 butterflies released at the Amphitheatre at Minnehaha Bay.
