The soup kitchen in West Nipissing gets a shot in the arm next week.
On July 25, the municipality is holding its butterfly release and Mayor Joanne Savage says it’s being held in memory of loved ones.
Savage says a $30 donation lets a person release a butterfly in the name of a loved one.
She adds the proceeds will be directed to the West Nipissing Community Kitchen which is scheduled to open in September.
The butterfly release is taking place the Minnehaha Bay amphitheater, a move the Mayor says allows more people to attend and which no longer requires the closure of any parts of King Street.
The release runs from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
