The West Nipissing group that’s organizing next year’s International Plowing Match and Rural Expo, has taken another step to making the event happen.
The first of four signs promoting the 2019 event is now up and showcases that Verner is the future site of the event.
West Nipissing stands to attract tens of thousands of people next year as it prepares to host one of North America’s largest agricultural events.
IPMs normally see about 80,000 visitors descend on the host community which includes dozens of exhibitors from many areas.
Past events show that with that many people, combined with the numerous exhibitors, an IPM generates about $20 million in economic activity for the host community.
Verner and West Nipissing host the IPM and Rural Expo from September 17th to the 21st.
The first billboard is located on Highway 64.
