West Nipissing Police say there were two people on board a light plane that crashed Sunday afternoon killing both occupants.
The plane hit the ground in the Kipling area, not far from Verner around 12:45pm.
Police are still withholding the names of the victims until next of kin have been notified.
Meanwhile the Transportation Safety Board has investigators at the crash site trying to determine why the plane hit the ground.
The plane was privately owned.
