The Columbus Blue Jackets have added a young man with roots in Verner to their NHL roster.
Liam Foudy was drafted by the NHL club after a stint with the OHL’s London Knights.
Foudy played 65 games for the Knights this season and connected on 24 goals and assisted on 16 others.
Foudy comes from a sports family.
His mother won a silver in the 100 metre relay during the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics while his dad was a six-year veteran with the CFL.
