Heritage Railway unveils specialty train car for motorized wheelchairs this Sunday

North Bay and area residents in wheelchairs can finally ride the Heritage Railway.

A converted coach car can now accommodate two wheelchairs.

The modified car will be officially unveiled this Sunday at 1:00pm.

That same day young and old alike in wheelchairs can ride the train until 5:00pm.

The permanent schedule after July 3rd for wheelchairs calls for rides to be available on Sundays and Tuesdays from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.

The Heritage Railway and Carousel Company can also take group bookings with 72 hour notice.

In addition, as of June 25th train service begins operating daily from 10:00am until dusk.

The daily schedule runs until Labour Day at which point in reverts back to a weekend schedule until the end of the season which is Thanksgiving Monday.
