West Nipissing Police have charged a man with trespass at night plus possession of break-in instruments.
Police caught the man thanks to a homeowner in the Clark Street area who saw a man trying to get into vehicles.
When the Good Samaritan called police, officers saw a man running from the scene into backyards.
They tracked him down and arrested him.
During the arrest they found break-in tools on him.
