There’s been a big drop in job postings in the Nipissing District and that has the agency that releases the monthly figures believing employers are looking for fewer workers.
During April, the Labour Market Group found postings for 487 vacancies.
However that’s a drop of 178 postings from March when employers were looking to fill 665 job openings.
The March to April figure represents a nearly 27 per cent drop.

Among the top five businesses looking for people, Zedd Customer Solutions and Plan A Health Care Staffing Solutions were each looking to fill 30 openings.
The North Bay Regional Health Centre was next on the hiring list with 13 positions available, followed by Metal Fab which had 11 vacancies and then 10 openings at Stock Transportation.
