Here are a few occurences the West Nipissing Police are investigating, or have dealt with recently.
- A Lavigne resident reported a theft to police on May 11th. Police learned that the complainant had her 9000 Watt generator stolen from her residence situated along Caron Road. The investigation is ongoing.
- A Cache Bay road resident has reported to West Nipissing Police that a gold chain with diamond pendant has been stolen from her residence. Police are investigating the theft of that jewellery.
- An 88-year-old Sturgeon Falls man faces charges of impaired driving after police received a complaint of an erratic driver. After receiving the complaint officers located the vehicle at a private residence at which time police identified the driver. The man was found to have been drinking alcoholic beverages and after providing samples of his breath into an approved instrument he was found to be over the legal limit.
