Come celebrate as the residents of Lavigne celebrate the opening of its new waterfront park with a BBQ and ceremonial cake-cutting.
On Saturday, June 2, the festivities will take place from 11 until 1 at Caisse Populaire Waterfront Park.
Organizers say this is a perfect example of what can happen when a community comes together for a common purpose.
The park was built with donations from local businesses and through the volunteer efforts of community members. Together, they have built a family-friendly park, complete with picnic, BBQ facilities, benches with a view, and community garden beds.
