Scott McLeod, the Chief of the Nipissing First Nation, says he’s willing to help West Nipissing access the resources it needs to resurface Garden Village Road.
The Municipality of West Nipissing has applied for funding for the work and McLeod says he’ll help where he can.
McLeod says Garden Village Road is the only access into the First Nation and is heavily used.
But it’s in bad shape because of the daily usage with people commuting back and forth between Nipissing and Sturgeon Falls.
The weather has deteriorated the road over the years plus the asphalt has become very old.
