North Bay councillor George Maroosis says a clarification letter needs to be sent to the Ontario Municipal Board over a recent decision. That decision involves the OMB ruling over a re-zoning at the former hospital site on Scollard. Maroosis believes staff are interpreting part of the decision differently from what the OMB intended. One issue is the OMB stated land at the site is contaminated although the city and the Ministry of the Environment don’t believe it is. Maroosis believes asking the OMB for an interpretation of its ruling eliminates grey areas.
