Sudbury police help man who overdosed then raid apartment building

A man in Sudbury got quick treatment for a drug overdose thanks to police being at the right place at the right time.

Police had staked out an apartment building on Regent Street for drug activity when they saw a man go into the complex, come out a few minutes later and then collapse.

Police recognized the overdose signs and the man was rushed to hospital.

Medical staff treated the man and then released him.

After the overdose incident, police got search warrants and raided some apartments in the building.

The raided yielded two grams of fentanyl powder, nearly 13 grams of cocaine and1.5 methamphetamine pills.

The street value of the drugs is estimated at $2,275.
