Two West Nipissing students are headed to the provincial gymnastic championships in Sudbury.
They are Emma Gervais and Madisson Guidry.
The students make up the combined gym team from École secondaire publique Northern and Northern secondary school in Sturgeon Falls.
Madisson qualified for the provincials by finishing second overall after capturing silver in the uneven bars and a bronze on the vault.
Her teammate Emma came in seventh as a result of a fifth on the beam and sixth place showing on the bars.
Both girls were competing at Level 1 at NOSSA.
The combined team is made up of four girls in total.
The other two athletes are Jodie Brubacher and Elsbeth Holtz who both finished in the top half in the overall individual awards out of 31 gymnasts.
Overall, the combined team finished 3rd out of 10 schools in the artistic category.
The girls are coached by Julie Coulombe and Julie Labelle-Bourgoin.
The provincials run from April 22nd to the 24th.
