There’s some financial good news for West Nipissing. The municipality is getting just more than $50,300 dollars it can apply toward downtown revitalization. The money is part of a province-wide program where all Ontario municipalities share from a $26-million pool. Before getting the grant, West Nipissing council has to pass a by-law indicating where the money will be spent, the approximate cost and the expected results of the project. Areas where the grant can be applied include signage, streetscape improvements and putting some of it toward a marketing plan.
