OPP in Powassan must have been wondering what was with all the fast drivers. In less than 24 hours from Saturday into Sunday, OPP stopped three young men driving at least 50 kilometres an hour over the speed limit. One of the men was clocked at more than 60 kilometres over the speed limit and another at more than 70 kilks an hour over the limit. All the speeding took place along the Highway 11 corridor from Callander to Powassan. The drivers are all young men and are 17 to 22 years old. In addition to the speeding-related charges, each man has lost his vehicle and license for a week.
