There’s been some progress in the development of the Ring of Fire. The province has promised to establish a development corporation within the next two months. The goal of the corporation will be to create partnerships between First Nations, the public, and private sectors, to help make investment decisions on a transportation plan. The corporation will be made up of four Ontario public servants, and will also advice the province on how to spend its 1-billion dollar commitment to developing the Ring of Fire.
