Both the Nipissing Warriors Midget Girls, who won 3-2 in the finals, and the Warriors Midget Boys, who prevailed 3-0 in the finals, have successfully defended their championships from last year. The championships were clinched Thursday afternoon at the Little NHL tournament in Mississauga. A dozen local teams took part in the event which is hosted by Moose Cree First Nation. More than 3,000 Indigenous youth from across Ontario competed with and against one another during the five-day event that saw 210 teams participate.
