West Nipissing Council is getting closer to finalizing its budget. Right now council is looking at a tentative increase of 2.21 per cent. That’s the result of a recent meeting where council discussed several issues like water and sewer which looks like it might rise by 1.76 percent. That works out to about $23 a home for residents who are on both services. Council also discussed solid waste and amounts there vary from one dollar and seventy cents to seven dollars a household depending on the amount of services used. Next up are tax ratios which council will discuss at its Committee of the Whole meeting next month.
