West Nipissing Police have charged a transport trailer operator after getting a call about a possible impaired driver. Inspector Ray St. Pierre says police set-up an observation point and spotted the rig. St. Pierre says when the investigating officer began talking to the driver, he noticed obvious signs of impairment and took action. The man was arrested and taken to North Bay where he was tested by a drug recognition officer. Following the test, the man was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle by drug.
