If Caroline Mulroney becomes the next leader of the Progressive Conservative party and forms the next provincial government, expect big changes to the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation. Mulroney will double the fund to $200-million and change the eligibility requirements. Mulroney says it’s about putting northerners first adding the region has been forgotten. Mulroney made the commitment during a leadership race stop in North Bay on Monday. She’s campaigning against Doug Ford, Christine Elliott and Tanya Granic Allen for the Tory leadership. Card-carrying members name a new leader this Saturday.
