Field will have to wait a while longer before it can have its three welcome signs. The idea is to have two signs at both ends of town on Highway 64 and a third sign on Highway 575 as people come in from Verner. West Nipissing council doesn’t oppose the request but it’s been deferred. That’s because council still hasn’t dealt with an earlier sign request from another community. Because it knows more requests will be made for money, council is now developing a policy to make dealing with area needs more systematic.
