Last week, we told you about the efforts of West Nipissing’s by-law enforcement officer, and the issues he wanted to see addressed.
A new amendment to the parking by-law is on tonight’s council agenda to address just that.
There will be increased enforcement of accessible parking spaces, emergency entrances and exits, and emergency vehicle parking if the amendment passes.
The owners/operators of various municipal and private property locations in the area have expressed a desire to have by-laws enforced when it comes to accessible parking.
Taxis have also asked to be exempt from overnight parking restrictions while they wait for fares.
