Labour Market Group looks at what jobs will be affected by technology

The Labour Market Group for Nipissing and Parry Sound has compiled a list of jobs most and least threatened by technology.  Not surprisingly as we see more automated checkouts and food ordering kiosks, cashiers and food counter attendants are highly at risk of being affected by automation.   So are retail salespeople as more consumers order goods online.   However the LMG says education related jobs, like teachers and early childhood educators are at very low risk of being affected by automation.   Also a safe job are managers in the retail and wholesale trade.   The LMG looked at labour trends for the next 10 to 20 years.
