West Nipissing Mayor Joanne Savage says volunteers are needed to help with beautification projects this year. Savage is grateful of volunteers who regularly step up because their work makes a big difference in the community’s appearance and it shows. Savage says the work by the volunteers resulted in a major improvement in Sturgeon Falls and the surrounding communities. Savage says council will hear from a delegation Tuesday evening about beautifying the municipality. She says it’s a good move for groups to get their requests in now while council is debating this year’s budget and there’s time to slot in requests.
