Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre says the federal government is now working on a national strategy on dementia. Serre says across Canada, more than 400,000 Canadians have dementia and the Liberal MP says he’s seen firsthand the devastation the disease causes. Serre says the ultimate goal is to eliminate dementia and in the mean time we need to find ways to treat it and get rid of the stigma. The MP encourages people to learn more about the disease by going to the Alzheimer Society of Canada website. Marc Serre has been very vocal on fighting dementia.
