MNDM minister tells North Bay councillor Liberals won’t restore rail passenger service

North Bay city councillor Mark King says he’s disappointed that the Ontario Liberals won’t reinstate rail passenger service in the north.   King met with the Minister of Northern Development and Mines, Michael Gravelle, and asked him where the Liberals stand on rail.  King says the minister was very clear with his response.  “He did indicate they would not support the passenger train service reinstatement,” King said.   King met with Gravelle at the Rural Ontario Municipal Association conference in Toronto.   Councillors Mac Bain and Chris Mayne were also part of the discussion.  Moose News has contacted the minister’s office and is waiting for a response back.
