Mattawa official still waiting for reports to let tenants back into apartments

Two reports saying tenants in Mattawa can move back into their apartments could arrive today.   The tenants from five units have been staying at hotels and with family after a transport trailer ran into their building last Monday night.  Chief Building Officer Wayne Chaput says the structural engineers from two different firms in Guelph and Barrie told him verbally the building is repairable.  However Chaput needs their written reports before giving the green light that the building is safe to re-occupy.  The driver of the rig is charged with careless driving and one tenant received minor injuries after the tractor trailer crashed into the building.
