Lavigne fire station needs major work

Soil testing has been approved for the Lavigne fire station.  It’s the first step to ensuring the building’s life expectancy can be extended.  Station number 7, as it’s known, has shifted and it has cracks in the front and back.  West Nipissing council agrees it has to do something sooner than later to salvage the building before it deteriorates beyond repair.  The cost to test the soil is about $6,600.
