The OPP are out with some sombre numbers as snowmobile safety week continues. Last season was the deadliest snowmobile season since 2003. OPP say 27 people died as a result of a snowmobile collision including nine people who went through the ice or open water. OPP are asking sledders not to take unnecessary risks and keep an eye out for frozen waterways because they could have open patches.
