Jamaican Humanitarian Mission for Franco Cite students next month

In three weeks 35 Franco Cite students and 13 adults leave for their bi-annual Jamaican Humanitarian Mission.   Spokesman Rock Lachance says the group is headed to the Braes region of Jamaica just outside Kingston to build two small homes.

However Lachance says the group will do more than build the homes.  The last time it was there it built bee hives and now it’s adding bee farms to separate and pasteurize the honey that’s accumulated.

Lachance says the students learn a lot each time the mission is undertaken saying it transforms them and the growth is noticeable.  The missionary has been going on for 20 years and leaves for Jamaica February 7th.
