With a provincial election only six months away, four lobby groups are making the case for the restoration of rail passenger service in the north. That includes All Aboard Northern Ontario in North Bay. While the groups applaud the Ontario Liberals for improving bus service, they’re waiting to hear what they have in store for rail. So far the Progressive Conservatives, the New Democrats and the Northern Ontario Party have endorsed the need to bring back something like the Northlander.
