Sturgeon Falls woman among Canada 150 pin recipients

The late Eliane Goulet of Sturgeon Falls is being recognized for her volunteerism over the years.   Goulet and 12 other residents in Nickel Belt were given Canada 150 pins for the amount of volunteer work they do in their respective towns.   Nickel Belt residents were asked to nominate people in their communities who have made a positive difference in the lives of others and local residents chose Goulet for the amount of work she has done.

Another area resident awarded the pin was Richard Lefleur of St. Charles.   The pins are made from the original copper metal used on the roofs of the Parliament Buildings from 1918 to 1996.
