Dave Thompson is back as chair of the Near North District School Board. Thompson has been a trustee since 2006 and took over as chair in 2014 after serving as vice-chair from 2010-13. Meanwhile the board’s vice-chair is again James Beatty after he was acclaimed to the position. Beatty was first elected as a near North trustee in 2010.
