The Sturgeon Falls Royal Canadian Legion needs a new commercial stove. The Legion approached council with the problem saying a new stove will cost $8,000. Council can’t help financially but it will help the Legion apply for funds through the Trillium Foundation and the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation. Money might also be available through Veterans Affairs. Mayor Joanne Savage says the Legion heavily depends on its kitchen equipment for the fundraising work it does.
