Beginning Friday, under-privileged families in West Nipissing will start receiving their food and toy baskets. It’s all thanks to the annual Santa Fund Telethon put on by the West Nipissing Volunteer Firefighters. The firefighters are filling the baskets and start delivering them to the outlying communities tomorrow. On Saturday, families in Sturgeon Falls get the baskets just ahead of Christmas. This year’s telethon raised more than $33,000.
