North Bay staff is going to review public transit and get public input on what possible changes can be made. But councillors Dave Mendicino and Daryl Vaillancourt say the motion is a waste of staff’s time. Vaillancourt opposes the motion because it lacks direction. And Mendicino says an internal transit review is already underway for the 2015 budget process. He says the focus there is to find ways of increasing ridership. But George Maroosis says if the review is already underway then staff time is not wasted with the new resolution. He adds management can look at how we can spend the same amount of money more wisely.
