Radiothon brings in more than $6,000 for food bank

More than $6,000 was raised in the Moose FM Stocking the Shelves annual radiothon.   All the money as well as food items go to the West Nipissing Food Bank.   A big donation came from the employees at the Caisse Populaire who donated $500 which was then matched by the bank for a total of $1,000.  Another major donation came from Northern Convenience at $500.  The 12 hour event saw people brave the snow as they came into the new Moose studios at Main and John.  The last donation of the day was $300 from Rick Watson of Liquidation Warehouse who won auction for an autographed framed picture of Carey Price.  Councillor Jamie Restoule donated the picture of the Montreal Canadiens goalie.   This was the 4th annual Moose radiothon in West Nipissing which was held in conjunction with our other stations across the country.  All those stations combined raised more than $1.2 million dollars for various charities for the fourth consecutive year.
