Next year the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund goes up by $5-million. That`s welcome news for the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities. FONOM says the additional funding is intended for northern and rural areas meaning the province recognizes the challenges they face. However the lobby group points out that not all communities are getting increases. FONOM says there are northern communities that will see their funding level drop next year compared to this year.
